Floating covering for vertical cylindrical oil tanks
The pontoon "KonTEK" is designed to reduce evaporation losses of oil products stored in vertical cylindrical tanks, improve the tank fire safety and mitigate environmental impact.
The pontoon is of the float type, with leak-free flooring, and has the following advantages:
- built-up structure that allows loading subunits through access doors of the tank;
- pontoon corrosion protection is not required;
- welding is not required when mounting;
- rapid mounting not depending on climatic conditions;
- high reliability in operation.
The pontoons "KonTEK" have been in operation at the customer facilities since 1997 and by now only positive references have been given to their maintenance.
The pontoon payback time is 6 months depending on the tank turnover and then it returns interest during the whole operation period.
